Raiders End Season with Win Against Clippers
The Pierce Raiders ended their 2024 season with a win against South Puget Sound on Wednesday afternoon. The Raiders ended their season with an overall record of 3-12-1 and 2-9-1 in conference play.
The Raiders scored four goals in the match against the Clippers, defeating them with a final score of 4-1. The Raiders scored their first goal of the match in the 17th minute from sophomore midfielder Kaylee Mithun, assisted by Elena Iniguez. The Raider struck again in the 43rd minute when Tatiana Scheidt scored her first goal of the game assisted by Kaylee Mithun. Scheidt ended the match with a total of five shots on goal. Grace Pearson scored her third goal of the season in the 46th minute, assisted by Kaylee Mithun, her second assist of the game. The Raiders scored their final goal in the 75th minute from Elena Iniguez, her sixth goal of the season, assisted by Alyka Fuller. Shelby Dirks started as the goalkeeper for the Raiders, allowing zero goals in 45 minutes. Dirks was replaced by sophomore goalkeeper, Hailey Daffern, who recorded one save in the match.
