Gators Stun Raiders with Loss to End Season

The Pierce Raiders took on the Green River Gators on Wednesday evening in Auburn, falling the to the Gators in the best-of-five match 25-23, 25-20, 21-25, 24-26, 12-15. The Raiders defeated the Gators in the first two sets, but the Gators came back from the deficit to take the third and fourth sets. Green River managed to take the fifth and final set, handing the Raiders the loss and dropping their overall record to 7-22 and 3-9 in league play.

Lemasino Fuamatu led both teams in attacks with a total of 18 kills, posting a kill percentage of .429. Lema also recorded 3 assists, 6 service aces, and 11 digs. Claire Kadlec and Manaia Tauiliili each delivered 9 kills in the match, as well as 6 service aces each. Jaelynn Gross recorded six kills in the match, with a kill percentage of .250.
