South Puget Sound Tops Pierce, 81-47

The Pierce Raiders fell to South Puget Sound, 81-47, on Wednesday night despite a strong inside performance from Martha Jessop.

Jessop anchored the Raiders with a double-double, finishing with 21 points and 10 rebounds while shooting efficiently from the floor. She was active on both ends, battling in the paint and providing a consistent scoring presence throughout the game.

Pierce showed defensive energy early, forcing turnovers and creating opportunities in transition, but South Puget Sound used a balanced scoring attack to pull away. The Raiders continued to compete, with Malea Berridge knocking down three triples on her way to 13 points, and Alicia-Ellalynn Soliai contributing six rebounds and four steals.

UP NEXT: The Raiders are at home on Saturday, January 24th, as they host Tacoma for a 3:00pm tip off.
