The Pierce Raiders traveled south to Salem to face off with Chemeketa College on Thursday, September 5th to kick off the start of league play. Chemeketa earned with win in the match, 3 goals to 1.
Alvaro Veloso scored an unassisted goal in the 88th minute. Ali Ahmadzada came close to scoring for the Raiders, putting two shots on goal, followed by Ethan Shoemaker and Noah Blake Mathur who each had one shot on frame. Christopher Baez guarded the goal for the Raiders for the complete 90 minutes, recording three saves in the match.
