Overtime Battle Slips Away in Tacoma
The Pierce Raiders went toe-to-toe with the Tacoma Titans on Saturday night, but Tacoma secured a 78-73 overtime victory in a tightly contested conference matchup.
Pierce shot an efficient 43.9% from the field (25-of-57) and knocked down seven three-pointers in the effort. The Raiders also controlled the glass with 43 total rebounds, including 11 offensive boards, giving themselves extra opportunities throughout the night. However, 22 turnovers proved costly in a game that needed extra time to decide.
Mande Wanlemvo delivered a standout performance, pouring in 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting while grabbing a dominant 17 rebounds. He added three assists and two blocks in 45 minutes of action. Isaac Norris also logged 45 minutes, finishing with 13 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Ishe Kanhukamwe added 15 points, hitting four three-pointers, while Cooper Hartley chipped in eight points and five rebounds. Jonah Bell contributed six points and three boards.
Pierce and Tacoma battled through regulation before heading into overtime, where the Titans capitalized down the stretch to seal the five-point win.
