Raiders Drop Road Contest at Grays Harbor

The Pierce Raiders men’s basketball team fell on the road Wednesday night, dropping a 67-56 decision to the Grays Harbor Chokers on February 4th at Grays Harbor College.

Grays Harbor built an early advantage and led 32-22 at halftime. Pierce showed improvement offensively in the second half, scoring 34 points after the break, but was unable to close the gap as the Chokers matched the Raiders’ pace down the stretch.

Mande Wanlemvo led Pierce with a strong performance, finishing with a game-high 24 points and 13 rebounds for his double-double effort. Dylan Jay added 20 points, knocking down six three-pointers and pulling down seven rebounds while logging 40 minutes. Josiah Gopaul contributed five rebounds and three steals, while Isaac Norris added three assists, a steal, and a block for the Raiders.

Despite solid individual performances, Pierce struggled to overcome the early deficit as Grays Harbor maintained control throughout the contest. With the loss, the Raiders move to 4–16 overall and 3–5 in NWAC West Region play.
