The Pierce College Raiders Men’s basketball team came away with a thrilling 76-73 victory over the Tacoma Titans on Saturday, improving their overall record to 4-15 and their conference mark to 1-5. Jaydon Mitchell was the standout performer for Pierce, leading the team with 24 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal. Mitchell’s scoring touch and playmaking ability were crucial in helping the Raiders maintain control of the game, especially during the closing moments when Tacoma threatened to make a comeback.
Jackson Penigar also played a pivotal role, contributing 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist. His presence on both ends of the floor helped keep the Titans from finding any sustained offensive rhythm.
Mande Wanlemvo made an impact in the paint, recording a double-digit rebound performance with 11 boards, while adding 8 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Wanlemvo’s defensive and rebounding efforts helped Pierce maintain a solid edge in the battle for possessions throughout the game.

As the game came down to the wire, the Raiders defense was able to fend off the Titans’ late surge and seal the victory. This win gives the Raiders much-needed momentum as they look to build on this victory and improve their conference standing in the weeks ahead.
