The Pierce College Raiders faced off against the Yakima Valley Yaks but came up short in a 5-1 loss. Despite a strong defensive effort and solid pitching, the Raiders’ offense struggled to break through against Yakima Valley’s pitching staff.
Bo Stinson led the way at the plate with two hits and a stolen base, while Cameron Hale added a hit and a stolen base of his own. Joel Fernandez contributed two hits, including a double, and Andrew Moberly had one hit, a sacrifice hit, a walk, and the lone RBI for the Raiders.
On the mound, Hunter Eisele delivered a strong start, pitching six innings with six strikeouts and no walks. Jonah Richardson followed in relief, pitching two innings and striking out one. Moberly, who started the game at third base, took the mound in the ninth, allowing just one hit and striking out one to close out the game.
Despite the loss, the Raiders showed solid pitching and defensive play, setting the stage for their next matchup.
