Raiders Battle Back to Split Series with Spokane

The Pierce College Raiders wrapped up their four-game series against Spokane with a gritty 4-3 win in the series finale, salvaging a weekend split after dropping the first two games of the day.

The day began with a tough 8-0 loss for the Raiders. Starting pitcher Hunter Eisele battled through four innings, allowing three runs on four hits with four walks. Braden Bedell finished the final two innings, giving up five runs on three hits while adding one strikeout. Offensively, Kadin Kingsbury had a double and a walk, while Tristan Ringrose collected two hits.

In game three, Spokane kept the momentum rolling with an 11-3 victory over the Raiders. Despite the loss, Pierce managed seven hits. Andrew Moberly pitched four innings with four strikeouts, and Keenan Masters followed with 1.1 innings, striking out three. Kingsbury added two hits and a run, while Bradley Carl contributed an RBI double. Cameron Hale, Ringrose, Bo Stinson, and Joel Fernandez each chipped in with key offensive moments.

Determined to bounce back, the Raiders responded with a clutch 4-3 win in the series finale. Spokane struck early with two runs in the bottom of the first, but starting pitcher Vayden Lawrence settled in, pitching five solid innings with four strikeouts. Freddy Frias-Moreno closed the final two innings, allowing just one run on one hit in the seventh to hold off Spokane’s comeback attempt.

The Raiders answered Spokane’s early lead with a run in the top of the third, then added insurance runs in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings. Kingsbury capped off his strong weekend with a double, two runs, two walks, and a stolen base. Ringrose continued to shine with two hits — a double and a solo home run — while driving in two runs. Hale added two hits, including a double and an RBI, while Fernandez contributed a double and a run scored.
