Raiders Open Weekend Series with Dominant Win Over Spokane
The Pierce College Raiders kicked off their weekend series against Spokane with an impressive 8-1 victory before weather postponed the second game of the day.
Cooper Weygandt delivered a stellar performance on the mound, tossing six scoreless innings while striking out two. Jackson Burtis closed out the final three innings, allowing just one run and adding a strikeout to secure the win.
Offensively, the Raiders were firing on all cylinders. Kadin Kingsbury led the charge with three hits, including a double, while scoring two runs and driving in another. Bradley Carl contributed with a hit, a walk, and two runs scored. Tristan Ringrose added a key double, an RBI, and a sacrifice fly, while also crossing the plate once. Joel Fernandez chipped in with two hits, one RBI, a walk, and a run scored. Freddy Frias-Moreno rounded out the Raiders’ strong offensive showing with two hits, a walk, and one run scored.
The Raiders combined solid pitching with timely hitting to control the game from start to finish, earning a decisive victory to start the series.
