Raiders Open 24-25 Season with Split at Edmonds

The Pierce College Raiders baseball team kicked off their 2025 season with a pair of competitive games over the mid-February weekend at Edmonds College, finishing with a 1-1 record.

In their season opener against Lane College, the Raiders fell 3-1 despite solid pitching performances. Starter Andrew Moberly struck out four batters before Vayden Lawrence took over in the fourth inning, tossing four impressive innings with just one hit allowed and two strikeouts. Jackson Burtis closed the game, pitching the final two innings and recording one strikeout. Offensively, Tristan Ringrose led the way with three hits, while Cameron Hale added two hits and drove in the Raiders' lone run with a sacrifice fly.

In game two against Edmonds College, the Raiders bounced back with a dominant 6-0 victory. Starting pitcher Cooper Weygandt earned the win with a stellar five-inning performance, allowing just three hits, one walk, and striking out five. Freddy Frias-Moreno took over in relief, pitching four scoreless innings while giving up only two hits and striking out two.

Offensively, Bo Stinson delivered with two hits, including a double, two runs scored, and three RBIs. Tristan Ringrose stayed hot with two hits and three RBIs. Joel Fernandez added two hits, scored two runs, and swiped a base, while Kadin Kingsbury contributed two hits, including a triple, and scored twice.
